Meet Nadine
“You can't pour from an empty cup." As people committed to helping others, we understand the truth of that, and at the same time disregard the importance of 'filling ourselves back up" when there is yet one more task, one more client, one more responsibility that we decide should come before our own well-being.
Compassion for others sometimes feels much easier than cultivating compassion for ourselves, but without self-compassion, we can find ourselves stressed, stretched, exhausted and burnt out. Coaching can help teams and individuals find their way back to themselves.
I enjoy helping others on their personal journeys to achieve meaningful and lasting positive change. For more than 30 years, I have excelled in a career defined by my dedication to improving the health and well-being of others. I have a Master’s degree in public administration with a focus on health policy, and as a leader and educator working in the hospice palliative care sector, I know first-hand the many challenges faced by those who provide care, at all levels and in many different settings.
I am a certified Integral Professional Coach.™ and I am also a certified Advanced Practitioner of the Team Diagnostic Survey.(TDS) The TDS helps to assess the 6 Team Conditions that best predict a team’s performance and effectiveness.
I collaborate closely with health care professionals, supporting them by building and sustaining an environment of teamwork and respect. My expertise as a facilitator supports participants through complex situations with compassion.
Throughout all of my work, I am guided by my practices in and commitment to mindfulness and mindfulness meditation, learning through my experiences with Compassion Cultivation Training, Mindful Self Compassion, Dignity Therapy training and as an instructor with the Mindfulness Informed End-of-Life Care program at the University of Toronto school of continuing studies.
